Temperature Sensors - RTD RTD's RTD Temperature Sensors capitalize on the fact that the electrical resistance of a material changes as its temperature changes. The most common type of RTD (an Applied Sensor Technologies standard) is platinum, with characteristics that have been standardized under the European IEC 751 standard. Many different options can be applied.
Temperature Sensors - Thermocouple Thermocouple From the bearings to the boiler, temperature sensors, thermocouples and RTD's manufactured by Applied Sensor Technologies are designed for reliability and durability, and are proven in the field. We have designed sensors for your gas turbine exhaust and your heat tracing system, for the gas flow computers you rely upon and the cooling water outflow.
Thermowells & Protection Tubes Thermowells & Protection Tubes We provide a wide range of thermowell designs, in many different materials, for applications from the natural gas supply lines to the HRSG. From threaded wells for the water treatment equipment, to flanged wells, socket-weld and weld-in styles in a variety of carbon steels, stainless steels and high-nickel alloys.
Transmitters Transmitters In many applications, it is not feasible to wire a temperature sensor directly into the control system, due to distance or signal quality. One of our temperature transmitters is an ideal choice to convert the sensor's output signal to a reliable 4-20 mA or HART® protocol.
Gas Sensor Measurement Gas Measurement Sensor For most gas pipeline companies, flow computers are used to measure the volume of the gas flowing through the line. This allows them to properly charge their customers for product delivered. One of the required inputs needed for the flow computer to calculate volume is the temperature of the material. 100-Ω RTDs are typically used for this measurement, due to their precision, output and easy availability. Since inaccuracy or failure can mean lost revenue, it is very important to have reliable measurement.

Sensor Box Image Sensor Box™ The SENSOR BOX™ is a modular temperature sensor assembly system for the instrumentation maintenance professional. It can be your solution to expediting, high inventory and expensive downtime. One of the challenges in maintaining industrial temperature sensors is the variety. It is difficult for the typical process plant to stock every sensor configuration they might need to replace - until now. By combining common parts into a modular system, a relatively small amount of stock can translate into the variety you need - quickly, and without expediting.
